‘Sepulturero’ caught sniffing shabu arrested in Cagayan


CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – A 38-year-old cemetery groundskeeper or “sepulturero” was arrested after he was caught in the act of sniffing shabu inside the public cemetery in Barangay Maura, Aparri, this province, on Friday, Sept. 16.

Aparri police said suspect Garry Yordi was arrested at about 10 p.m. and yielded three small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one of which was slightly opened and weighing more or less .07 grams, three transparent plastic sachets with residue, and drug paraphernalia.

Yordi and the pieces of evidence were taken to the Aparri police station for proper disposition.

Suspect faces a case for violation of Republic Act (RA) No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
