44 arrested in anti-crime operations in Bulacan


Police arrested 29 suspected drug dealers, five wanted persons and 10 illegal gamblers during the intensified anti-crime operations in Bulacan on Sept. 16.

Col. Relly B. Arnedo, officer in charge of Bulacan Police, said around P120,000 worth of suspected dried marijuana leaves was recovered from suspect Jomar Abarrondo in a buy-bust operation conducted by Malolos police and PNP-Drug Enforcement Group Special Operation Unit 3 in Barangay Pinagbakahan, Malolos City.

Twenty-eight drug personalities were rounded up in a series of operations launched by the Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEUs), which led to the confiscation of P144,608 worth of suspected shabu and P10,156 worth of suspected marijuana.

The cops also recovered the marked money used in the buy-busts.

Meanwhile, five wanted person were nabbed by tracker teams of the 2nd Provincial Moblie Force Company and police forces of Meycauayan City, San Miguel, and City of San Jose del Monte (CSJDM).

The arrested persons were identified as John Rudell Jamolo wanted for rape, Ruffa Mae Cosejo and Maries Roldan for qualified theft; Nora Tudla for violation of BP 22; and Rainer Roluna for three counts of rape with no bail.

Police also nabbed 10 individuals in a series of anti-illegal gambling operations in CSJDM, Calumpit, Bustos, Bocaue, and Marilao.

The suspects were caught engaging and betting in various illegal gambling activities such as “cara y cruz”, card bet game “tong-its”, and Small-Town Lottery (STL) bookies.

Recovered from them gambling paraphernalia and bet money in different denominations.
