MB Daily News Update: World leaders await Marcos


Many world leaders want to meet with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., according to Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel Romualdez. And their chance could come when Marcos goes on a working visit to the US from Sept. 18 to 24, 2022, where he will also address the United Nations General Assembly.

The Department of Health (DOH) and OCTA Research Group have expressed concern over the rising positivity of Covid-19 cases in Metro Manila, which has gone up to 16.4 percent.

Typhoon Nanmadol will reportedly enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) briefly, and will have no direct impact on the country.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is set to hold a plebiscite on Sept. 17, 2022, in Maguindanao to decide if its voters would agree to splitting the province into two, namely, Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur.
