Man found dead inside abandoned house in Navotas City

An unidentified man was found dead inside an abandoned house along M Naval Street, Brgy. San Jose in Navotas City on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 15.

The Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) said the decomposing body of the victim was discovered by a security guard at around 3:15 p.m. on Thursday and was reported to them at around 4:10 p.m.

Initial investigation disclosed that a concerned citizen asked for the help of the security guard, Jonathan Cadorna, 28, who was on duty in an establishment in the area, after noticing a foul odor coming from the abandoned house.

Cardona went to the house and found the victim. He then notified the Barangay San Jose officials who reported the discovery to the police.

Col. Dexter Ollaging, NCPS chief, said that investigation is ongoing to identify the victim and an autopsy examination was requested to determine the cause of his death.
