Japanese man wounded in General Trias, Cavite shooting


GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite – A Japanese man was wounded after being shot in Barangay Bacao 1 on Thursday, Sept. 15.

General Trias City Police identified the victim as Osamo Yamada, a 52-year-old company director and a resident of Imus, Cavite.

Initial investigation showed that Yamada was standing next to his car at a parking lot of a restaurant when two suspects on a green scooter shot him in the abdomen using a short firearm.

Yamada was rushed to the hospital where he received treatment and is now in stable condition.

The scooter driver, who was wearing an orange delivery service uniform, and the back rider, who was wearing a black long-sleeved top, are yet to be identified.

Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) officer-in-charge Col. Christopher F. Olazo has ordered all the chiefs of police to conduct a dragnet operation for the immediate identification and arrest of the suspects.
