P400 M worth of shabu seized from two notorious foreigners nabbed in Pampanga


CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga -- Two notorious foreigners who were listed in police operation dubbed ‘Oplan Apocalypto’ were arrested during a raid that also resulted in a confiscation of P400 million worth of illegal drugs on Wednesday afternoon, Sept.t 14, in Mexico town in this province.

Police Regional Office 3 Director PBGEN Cesar Pasiwen said the joint law enforcement units including Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group, Pampanga Police Provincial Office and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-National Capital Region conducted the anti-illegal drug operations at Lakeshore along NLEX in Mexico, Pampanga.

The suspects were identified as Wenjie Chen alias Harry, 45, of Brgy. San Antonio, Gerona, Tarlac and Sy Yan Qing, 42, of Banawe St., Sto Domingo, Angeles City.

Seized from the two suspects were five vacuum sealed plastic Chinese tea bag with an estimated five kilograms of shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P34,000,000; 55 pcs. of vacuum sealed plastic Chinese tea bag with estimated 55 kilograms of shabu with an SDP of P374,000,000; five pieces of genuine P1000 bills marked money; a cellular phone; and assorted identification cards and documents.

The two suspects are believed to be cohorts of subjects listed under Coplan Apocalypto who are notorious in peddling illegal drugs in big volumes in the areas of Metro Manila, Regions 3, and Region 4A.

Brig Gen. Pasiwen assured that the anti-illegal drug campaign and all police units are working together to eliminate drugs in the country.
