Parañaque, Pasay LGUs welcome PBBM’s EO No. 3

The local governments of Parañaque and Pasay welcomed President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s Executive Order No. 3 mandating the voluntary wearing of face masks outdoors.

Atty. Voltaire dela Cruz, Parañaque City administrator, said the President’s order is a welcome development since there had been studies in other countries showing that Covid-19 cases did not rise when they liberalized the use of face masks.

Dela Cruz also said the lifting of wearing face masks outdoors could help jumpstart the economy and will somehow bring back the confidence in people in going out.

The city, however, will still strictly implement other Covid-19 protocols to avoid the spread of the virus.

Moreover, the city government urged the residents to get the jab against Covid-19.

In Pasay City, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano also welcomed Marcos’ EO No. 3, but she reminded the residents to continue following the local health protocol they have implemented to avoid the spread of the disease.

Rubiano told the residents to still observe the EMI (ensure to always wash your hands, Mask is a must and Implement social distancing) habit.
