The enhanced e-Services will provide a simpler and faster transaction for the registration, licensing, and accreditation of Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs), DSWD said.

SWDAs are non-government organizations that provide social services to the community through a partnership with the DSWD.

To access the improved online platform, interested parties only need to visit the DSWD website, and from the menu, select e-Services to start the application.

SWDAs will only need to fill out and submit the online generated application form and requirements.

A real-time update on the status of their application will also be sent and payment can be done at the Land Bank of the Philippines, DSWD said.

These enhanced e-Services have data security measures to ensure a safe transaction between the SWDAs and the DSWD.

Other service providers, organizations or individuals applying for public solicitation, and civil service organizations accredited to implement public funds can also use the digital platform, DSWD said.

According to DSWD Assistant Secretary for Standards and Capacity Building Diana Rose Cajipe, the online transaction system for DSWD's frontline services was first approved in 2005.

It was reintroduced in 2007 but was not sustained as SWDAs preferred to apply and transact personally at DSWD offices, Cajipe added.

In 2018, it was launched again after some enhancement to the licensing and registration guidelines, Cajipe said.

In the 3rd quarter of 2021, the DSWD Standards Bureau and Information and Communications Technology Management Service have once again collaborated on the creation of improved e-Services that will promote a faster application for SWDAs and partner organizations thus the relaunching of upgraded e-Services.
