The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) donated P250,000 worth of medicines and vitamins to Quirino province on Sunday, Sept. 11.
It was given during a medical mission conducted by the PCSO medical team at the Provincial Capitol gymnasium of the municipality of Cabarroguis.
Dr. Rouel C. Aparato from PCSO led the said event together with a group of dentists, nurses, and a pharmacist.
A total of 481 locals received free medical treatments from PCSO, the agency said.
In a Facebook post, PCSO said that the donation will benefit residents from Cabarroguis, San Marcos, and other municipalities in Quirino.
"Sana po'y ipagpatuloy niyo sa PCSO ang inyong magandang gawain, huwag nasa kayo magsawa na tumulong dito sa Quirino at sa iba pang lugar sa Pilipinas (I hope that PCSO will continue its good services, I wish that you would not get tired of helping here in Quirino and other places in the Philippines)," said Quirino Province Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua who received the donation on behalf of his constituents.
PCSO Chairman Junie E. Cua was also present at the event to check on the locals who benefited from the medical mission.
