Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez announced on Monday, Sept. 12, that the city ranked No. 6 from among all cities in the country with the highest vaccination rate against Covid-19.
Olivarez made the announcement during the regular Monday flag ceremony led by the team from the City Health Office (CHO) headed by Dr. Olga Virtusio.
He thanked Virtusio, whom he called “Wonder Woman” and her CHO team for working hard in achieving the No. 6 ranking.
The mayor also thanked the city government’s private partners such as the Ayala Malls, SM Bicutan, Sucat, BF, Solaire and others for offering their places for vaccinations against Covid-19.
Olivarez said the 16 barangay health centers also continue to conduct vaccinations against the disease for those who cannot visit the city government's vaccination sites in the malls.
He said the city government is also continuing to renovate and improve the facilities of all the city’s 16 barangay health centers for the convenience of doctors, nurses, other health workers, and the residents visiting the health centers.
