Valdez, who was ruled out of Asian Volleyball Confederation Cup for Women, can be seen inside the court with her teammates who are preparing for their first match against Thailand in the ASEAN Grand Prix 2022 on Friday.

In another Instagram post, Valdez detailed her experience after battling dengue and being advised by her doctor not to play in the tournament yet.

The veteran spiker, though, was excited to be given green light to travel along with the team and was reunited with her former coach Thai Bundit who parted ways with the PH team last year.

“I’m feeling so much better now. I’m on the road to full recovery already. I came here in Thailand to be with the team so I can start practicing already with them and really cheer for them also in the ASEAN Grand Prix,” said Valdez in another Facebook video.

Despite Valdez getting excluded from the roster, the Creamline-Philippines squad welcomed a key player in Risa Sato who will provide extra offense for the team. (Nikole Javier)
