300 TUPAD beneficiaries undergo orientation in Paranaque City


A total of 300 beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) were given orientation on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

The program is being implemented by DOLE in partnership with the office of Parañaque City 1st District Rep. Edwin L. Olivarez with the theme: “PaoTUPAD ni Kuya Edwin”

The orientation, held at Old San Dionisio Gym in Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City, was attended by Olivarez and DOLE representatives Director Jun Castillon and Maritess Bassig.

Parañaque City 1st District Councilor Pablo “Pao” Olivarez II, another program partner also attended the activity.

According to Olivarez, the 300 beneficiaries were informed of their task and where they will be assigned based on TUPAD’s guidelines.

Olivarez said the beneficiaries were given free t-shirts and group insurance coverage.

He said the beneficiaries will earn P8,000 for 14-days of community work in schools and other public facilities that need maintenance and repairs.
