GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite – Authorities confiscated P6.8 million worth of suspected shabu in an operation in Barangay Buenavista III on Sept. 7.
The buy-bust was led by the Special Operation Unit 4B-Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (SOU 4B-PNP DEG) and supported by operatives from the General Trias City Police Station and Cavite Police Provincial Office – Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.
Arrested during the operation was Alvin Guiamal Makalay, a 29-year-old house caretaker.
Authorities seized 17 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance weighing more or less one kilogram, along with a 9mm firearm, magazines and ammunition.
Police Regional Office 4A acting director Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez commended the operatives for the successful buy-bust.
The suspect and confiscated pieces of evidence are now under the custody of SOU 4B-PNP DEG for documentation and disposition.
