Casual San Pablo City Hall employees get pay hike

SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna – Mayor Vicente Amante has increased the daily salary of 1,107 casual and job order city government employees from P200 to the minimum rate provided by the Labor Code.

Amante said 854 casual and job order employees at executive offices and 253 in the legislative will benefit from the increase.

He also said that he ceased the services of several executive assistants to have money to implement the pay hike.

Amante added that the increase is his priority, and to meet the goal, the city government will implement savings programs to have sufficient funds.

He urged the legislative branch headed by Vice Mayor Justin Colago to enact the program.

Amante thanked the non-permanent employees for performing their duties efficiently and effectively.

He said that the increase was effective Sept. 1.
