PSHS said that Director Edward C. Albaracin took his oath as new campus director at the Baguio Convention Center in Baguio City. Albaracin, a former campus director of PSHS-MIMAROPA Region Campus, was chosen from among five qualified applicants.

“Our scholars have so much talent, and they have so much to contribute to society later on, but only if we as a community unlock their full potential. Everything we do, in ways big and small, either locks, or unlocks this potential. Let us keep that in mind, and our shared purpose of molding these future nation-builders, as we go about the things we do in and for Pisay,” said Albaracin.

Dr. Danilo C. Lachica, a member of the PSHS System Board of Trustees, served as inducting officer.

“We may have different reasons for coming here today, but I believe that we were brought together here for the same purpose, not just to mark the transition which is but fleeting, but to come together and rediscover our shared purpose,” said Albaracin.

Prior to his stint as PSHS campus director, Albaracin served as chief of the Curriculum and Instruction Division in the PSHS-Western Visayas Campus where he is an alumnus.

“It is purpose that created us, purpose that connects us, purpose that pulls us, that guides us, that drives us, it is purpose that defines, purpose that binds us,” said Albaracin.

To express their leadership support, PSHS System Executive Director Lilia Habacon, PSHS-Ilocos Region Campus Director Ronnalee Orteza, PSHS-Cagayan Valley Campus Director Erick John Marmol, and community stakeholders from the Office of the Mayor of Baguio City, Department of Education, Department of Science and Technology - CAR, and Barangay Chairman of Irisan in Baguio also attended Albaracin’s oath taking.

Albaracin succeeded Dr. Conrad Rotor, the first campus director of PSHS-CARC.
