ALLTV, CNN PH sign content agreement


ALLTV, the premiere television channel of the Villar Group’s Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS), has partnered with CNN Philippines to boost its credibility in the delivery of news and information to Filipino viewers.

In a statement, ALLTV said CNN Philippines’ flagship news program “News Night” will be aired simultaneously at ALLTV from Monday to Friday at 6 p.m., starting September 13.

CNN Philippines Hour on ALLTV” will be a 60-minute news program that showcases the day’s top stories with live reports, in-depth analysis, and live interviews with prominent personalities.

The segment will also be made available on 12 Radio Philippines Network (RPN) stations in key cities in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

ALLTV is held by the Villar group under Prime Assets Ventures, Inc (PAVI) led by businessman Manuel Paolo Villar.

According to Tolentino, ALLTV is banking on the years-long experience of CNN Philippines in delivering credible news to the public.

“Through CNN Philippines, we can provide our viewers with in-depth local news coverage, and a global perspective on key issues, and stories from around the world,” she said during the signing on Wednesday morning held at Mella Hotel in Las Piñas City.

Tolentino added that, with CNN Philippines adjudged as the most trusted news source in the country, TV viewers can be sure that ALLTV will be fair and balanced when it delivers news content, political opinions and insights.

Calling the partnership as a game-changer, Ramos said the agreement with ALLTV will further bolster the reach of CNN Philippines throughout the archipelago. “This is the first of its kind, it is a game-changer,” he added.

Ramos noted that, “We have an opportunity to reach more people in many parts of the country, and deliver news that’s accurate, fair and balanced.”

ALLTV is available on channel 2 on free-to-air TV and Planet Cable; Channel 16 on digital, Channel 35 on Cignal TV and Sky Cable; as well as local cable stations around the country.
