TACLOBAN CITY - A 72-year-old woman was arrested by the police for allegedly hacking her husband to death in Brgy. Biliboy, Ormoc City.
The suspect was identified as Epefania Ycoy, who allegedly hacked to death her husband, Dominciano Ycoy, 76.
Based on police reports, the couple had a heated argument due to jealousy.
This resulted in the wife grabbing a long-bladed weapon, locally known as sundang, and killing the victim around 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4.
The suspect was arrested during a hot pursuit operation conducted by Ormoc City Police Station 1.
The authorities also recovered the bolo believed to be used in the crime.
The woman is now facing charges for parricide that carries a penalty of reclusion perpetua to death.
