Around 50 houses were destroyed in a fire that hit a residential area along Sitio Pajo, Brgy. Baesa, in Quezon City on Monday, Sept. 5.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire started at around 9:56 a.m.
The Quezon City Fire District (QCFD) said the fire was declared under control at around 11:16 a.m. It was extinguished at around 12:43 p.m.
Additional fire trucks were deployed to put out the fire.
Arson probers placed at P500,000 the estimated damage to property caused by the fire. No one was hurt during the incident that affected around 100 families.
Senior Fire Officer 3 Rolando Valena, investigator on case, told Manila Bulletin that they are still looking into the possibility that the fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring in one of the bedrooms of a house where the fire originated from.
The incident is still under investigation.
