Filipinos in South Korea reminded to be vigilant for Typhoon Hinnamnor


The Filipino community in South Korea was advised on Sunday, Sept. 4, to remain vigilant as Typhoon “Hinnamnor” is expected to hit the country this week.

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul, in an advisory, urged Filipinos to continue monitoring developments on the strong typhoon.

“The Filipino Community is further advised to observe the usual precautions when traveling or undertaking outdoor activities during inclement weather,” it said.

In a report from The Korea Times on Sunday, preliminary weather advisories have already been issued in most cities and countries in southern areas, including Gwangju, Busan, and Jeju.

Hinamnor is the 11th typhoon to hit the country this year.
