Huge blow for TNT: Chot Reyes out of Game 7 due to protocols

TNT took a huge blow even before the tipoff of its winner-take-all match against San Miguel Beer as head coach Chot Reyes won’t be available on the sidelines due to health and safety protocols.

Reyes' absence adds to TNT's woes with Glenn Khobuntin missing the game, and Jayson Castro, JP Erram and Ryan Reyes all nursing injuries.

His son, Josh Reyes, will be calling the shots for the Tropang Giga as they try to close out the series and take their second straight all-Filipino crown. The elder Reyes also missed Games 2 and 3 of the series due to his commitment to Gilas Pilipinas. Assistant coach Sandy Arespacochaga called the shots for TNT but San Miguel Beer won on both occasions. In his return, he guided TNT to a 3-2 series lead although they failed to finish the series in Game 6.
