Batanes Gov. Cayco suspends classes in all levels in private, public on Sept. 2

BATANES -- Governor Marilou H. Cayco announced the suspension of classes in all levels (kindergarten to college) in public and private on Friday, Sept. 02, 2022 in the whole Province of Batanes due to super typhoon ‘Henry.’

However, she said all government offices shall continue with their regular operations and render necessary services.

Meanwhile, a supposed scheduled power interruption that will start on Sept 2, was cancelled.

The cancellation was relayed by Engr. Ernesto Rosas of the National Power Corporation (Napocor) Batanes to Governor Cayco.

In a statement posted on Batanes provincial facebook page, it said ‘NAPOCOR promised to expedite the approval of Amendment to Order for Fuel and to be immediately delivered to Batanes to avoid any power interruption caused by shortage of fuel."
