Palace announces new DICT cybercrime unit officials


Malacañang has named new officials designated at the cybercrime unit of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DITC).

During a Palace press briefing on Wednesday, Aug. 31, Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles announced the new appointments to the Cybercrimes Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) under the DICT.

The new appointees are:

  • Alexander K. Ramos, Executive Director V
  • Mary Rose E. Magsaysay, Deputy Executive Director
  • Patricia May M. Abejo, Director IV
  • Rojun V. Hosillos, Director IV
  • Alvin Miro Navarro, Director IV

The CICC is an attached agency of the DICT, and is chaired by the DICT Secretary.

Its functions include formulating a national cybersecurity plan, monitoring cybercrime cases bandied by participating law enforcement and prosecution agencies, and facilitating international cooperation on intelligence, investigations, training and capacity building related to cybercrime prevention, suppression and prosecution.
