914K worth of shabu seized, 9 arrested in Rizal


Close to P1 million worth of shabu was seized and nine suspected drug pushers were arrested by the Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) in four anti-illegal drugs operations in the province on Aug. 24 to 27.

In a report to Region 4-A Police Director Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr., Rizal PPO director Col. Dominic Baccay said the series of anti- illegal drugs operations in Antipolo City, San Mateo, Binangonan, and Taytay resulted in the confiscation of around 134.50 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P914,200.

The biggest chunk of the illegal drugs came from the buy-bust operation in Antipolo City with 75 grams of suspected shabu worth P509,600 seized from four suspected pushers on Aug. 27, according to Antipolo Chief of Police Lt. Col. June Paolo Abrazado.

Also confiscated were some 30 grams of shabu worth P204,000 in San Mateo; 27.5 grams with a street value of P187,000 in San Mateo; and two grams worth P13,600 seized from a pusher in Taytay.
