Time for heart-racing drives
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has just unveiled hotly-anticipated addition to its Gazoo Racing (GR) lineup — the all-new Toyota GR 86. The GR 86 joins TMP’s other GR models previously introduced – the GR Supra and GR Yaris. First debuting at the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival last July, the start of pre-orders was announced on 8.6 Day last August 6. Now, the GR 86 is officially available in TMP’s GR Performance Dealerships nationwide.
The all-new GR 86 is an exciting upgrade and a great homage to the revered Toyota 86 line. Now branded with the GR badge that celebrates Toyota’s racing spirit, the GR 86 comes in with greater steering feedback and sharper handling, whether you’re tackling the race track or navigating everyday roads.
Powering the new GR 86 is a hefty 2.4L four-cylinder, horizontally-opposed, DOHC, 16-valve engine. It produces 237-PS of power and 250-Nm maximum torque. It comes with a choice of Automatic (A/T) or Manual (M/T) transmission variants, both perfect for the adrenaline-filled driving experience that awaits you. It features a keyless Smart Entry and Push Start systems, giving you ease and allowing you to focus on the robust performance of the vehicle.
The GR86 also boasts of new safety features to match. These include SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HSA), and Limited Slip Differential (LSD) — which are all safety staples in both the A/T and M/T.
Aside from these safety features, the A/T variant also comes with a GR Active Safety Suite, a combination of special safety features which includes Pre-Collision System (PCS), Automatic High Beam (AHB), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC).
The vehicle levels up in amenities and features as well. Drive comfortably in leather and suede seats for A/T and all-fabric for M/T. Plus, make your every turn stylish with leather steering wheel. Its striking duck tail rear spoiler and piano black outside rear view mirrors are sure head turners, along with its alloy wheels.
Price starts at P2,328,000.00 for the M/T and P2,499,000.00 for the A/T. It’s available in Ignition Red, Magnetite Gray Metallic, Crystal White Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic, Crystal Black Silica, Bright Blue, and Sapphire Blue Pearl. Race to the nearest GR Performance Dealership near to check it out.
