Brace for possible tangles in traffic in some areas in Metro Manila as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said it will carry out 14 road repairs this weekend.
In an advisory, the DPWH National Capital Region Office said the fourteen road sections located in Quezon City are scheduled for repair beginning at midnight of Friday, August 26.
Lane reductions will be observed along EDSA Northbound: Santolan MRT Station, bus lane; after P. Tuazon flyover to Aurora Tunnel, third lane from center island (fast lane); after Aurora Boulevard to New York Street, third lane from center island (intermittent section); and after Kamuning Road and Kamias Road to JAC Liner Bus Station, beside the center island in Quezon City.
Affected lanes along EDSA Southbound are: roads fronting GMA Network Building, U-turn slot service road; Kamuning Road intersection, third block service road; in front of Kamuning Police Station 10, second block service road; and from Balingasa Creek to Oliveros Footbridge, still in Quezon City.
Other affected road sections include: Fairview Avenue Southbound, from Fleur de Lis Street to Labayane Street, first lane from the center island; Cloverleaf Northbound, from EDSA to NLEX segment, outer lane and Roosevelt Avenue near corner EDSA, outer lane.
Along C-5 Road, the service road in front of Global Oil Gas Station in Pasig City, road portion corner C.P. Garcia Avenue after intersection, second block from the center island in Quezon City, and southbound second lane in Makati City will be also closed to travelers for re-blocking.
All affected roads will be reopened on Tuesday next week, Aug. 30, at 5 a.m.
