Barangay councilor behind revolutionary group surrenders in Bulacan


A barangay councilor who claims to be a supporter and organizer of the Rebolusyonaryong Hukbong Bayan (RHB) voluntarily returned to the fold of the law in Barangay. Guinhawa, City of Malolos, Bulacan on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 24.

Col. Charlie A. Cabradilla, acting Bulacan police director, identified the councilor as Juan Dela Cruz (not his real name) alias Jao, 43, a male, from the City of Malolos, Bulacan.

The 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) assisted Jao in deliberately turning himself in.

He informed the authorities that he wants to rejoin government.

He added that he was convinced to join RHB while he was a member of the fisher folk alliance Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya (PAMALAKAYA) Bulacan chapter.

The surrendered former Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) is now under the custody of the 1st PMFC.
