“We are holding a free in-person concert, LIVE PLAY, and online live streaming of WORLD EXPO 2030 BUSAN KOREA CONCERT BTS in BUSAN. We hope ARMY from all around the world will send a lot of support to BTS’s special performance to promote Busan’s bid for World Expo 2030,” the agency said in its announcement.

The free concert is an in-person event and will also be held via Live Play, “an in-person event in which ARMY can watch the concert in real time on a large screen to feel the lively moment of the concert.”

The Live Play will be held at 6 p.m. on Oct. 15 at the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal Outdoor Parking Lot.

“Tickets to this concert are free. Please note, however, that reservation fees and shipping fees will be charged,” according to Big Hit Music.

Last July 19, BTS were officially appointed honorary ambassadors for the World Expo 2030 Busan.

The City of Busan is vying to host the World Expo 2030 and has enlisted the help of BTS to strengthen its bid to win.

Five countries have submitted proposals to organize the World Expo 2030: South Korea (in Busan), Russia (in Moscow), Italy (in Rome), Ukraine (in Odesa) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (in Riyadh). In May, Russia withdrew its bid to host the World Expo 2030 after it invaded Ukraine.
