‘Florita’ forces suspension of work in many trial courts in North Luzon

Typhoon “Florita” forced the suspension of work on Tuesday, Aug. 23, in several trial courts in Pangasinan, Ilocos Sur, and Isabela.

Trial courts in Vigan City in Ilocos Sur, Lingayen in Pangasinan, and in Santiago City and other towns in Isabela declared work suspension.

Aside from trial courts in Isabela City, work was also suspended in the municipal circuit trial courts (MCTCs) in Cordon and Dinapigue towns and in the municipalities of Ramon and San Isidro.

“Florita” made its landfall at Maconacon, Isabela at around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23.

Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo has directed Court Administrator Raul B. Villanueva to immediately assess possible damage to court facilities in the areas scoured by “Florita.”
