ILOILO CITY – A hospital recently launched the first hospital-based emergency medical services in Iloilo.
The Medical City (TMC Iloilo) said the medical emergency hotline number 3380808 operates 24/7.
“Our newly launched Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is a game changer as we aim to improve the healthcare ecosystem of the region,” said Dr. Felix Ray Villa, TMC Iloilo chief executive officer (CEO).
With the EMS team, TMC Iloilo patients are assured that they are receiving quality care even before reaching the hospital during medical emergencies, Villa said.
“With TMC Iloilo’s EMS, we are looking into expanding our reach to cater to the healthcare needs of our patient partners and eventually save more lives,” added Villa.
TMC Iloilo EMS is capable of performing medical emergency procedures outside the hospital or where the place of emergencies itself for higher chances of survival.
TMC Iloilo EMS is headed by Dr. Sally-Mae Abelanes and Dr. Debbie Noblezada-Uy.
Abenales has extensive experience in medical emergencies as volunteer for humanitarian organizations abroad and recently completed a fellowship at the Harvard Medical School in the United States.
Present during the launching were Iloilo City Rep. Julienne “Jamjam” Baronda as well as Councilors Sedfrey Cabaluna and Nick Baronda, among others.
