PDEA, PNP raid drug den in Nueva Vizcaya, arrest four drug pushers


NUEVA VIZCAYA -- A drug den was dismantled and four drug personalities were arrested on Saturday, Aug. 20, by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police (PNP) operatives in Solano town in this province.

The suspects were identified as Jomear Meneses, 27, businessman, and a resident of Santa Rosa, San Luis, Solano, Rochelle Omanito, 25, Ronan Marzan, 24, and David Sta Ana, 25.

They were apprehended by the joint elements of PDEA RO II Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office, Bayombong and Solano Police during a buy-bust operation along Sitio Sta Rosa, San Luis, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.

At least 11 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu were found in possession of the suspects.

The raiders also found paper bag containing dried marijuana leaves, three pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 200 grams of dried marijuana leaves, transparent plastic sachet with residue, assorted drug paraphernalia, disassembled Cal. 22 firearm with live ammunition, weighing scale, two keypad cellular phones and the buy-bust money.

The suspects are now facing charges in violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11 and 12 Article II of RA 9165 and RA 10591.
