This Saturday, Aug. 20, "Oh My Job" (OMJ), puts the spotlight on Atty. Roy L. Buenafe, regional director, Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula Region). Zamboanga is known as the “sardines capital” of the Philippines.

Fishermen are considered “informal workers”, and the closed fishing season lasts for four months, from December to March, when they could not work.

So what happens to them during these lean months? Buenafe will discuss the DOLE's plans for them.

In the "Good News" segment, DOLE launches Project Angel Tree, which caters to child laborers of Aklan and their parents. It has strengthened the family welfare program.

More job vacancies will be announced in the program.

Hosted by Arnel Ignacio, Tuesday Niu, and Director Rolly Francia, "Oh My Job" airs Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., aired simultaneously on GTV and DZBB 594 Super Radyo, and live-streamed through its Facebook page @OhMyJobPhilippines.
