P46M Zambo road, cuts 50% less of travel time


The transport of local goods and services in Molave, Zamboanga del Sur has now become easier with the concrete paving works completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao D. Dia said the construction of the 1.67 kilometers project along C NRJ Bag-ong Argao - Sto.Rosario - Simata -Silangit - Bag-ong Gutlang - Bag-ong Ariosa - NRJ Litapan Diversion Road in Barangay Silangit is now aiding residents and farmers as travel time has been reduced to at least 50 percent.

DPWH Zamboanga del Sur First District Engineering Office (DEO) implemented the concreting of road including provision of drainage system and slope protection works was funded amounting to P46M under the 2021 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

“Our goal is to finish more projects in Zamboanga del Sur this year to improve the road network and provide better travel experience that can boost the local economy,” said Dia. (Jun Marcos Tadios)
