Darryl Yap to Joel Lamangan: ‘Goodluck po’

Darryl Yap has reacted to director Joel Lamangan's statement about creating a film to seemingly counter his wildly succesful "Maid in Malacañang."

On Facebook, Darryl re-shared an art card bearing Joel's quote.

It read: "Parang the last 72 hours din pero sa punto de vista ng isang ordinaryong pamilya bago umalis ang mga Marcos.”

The said film will be released this September.

Darryl deemed it the "Ultimate Kilig."

Note that Darryl's "Maid in Malacañang" tells the story of the last 72 hours of the Marcoses inside Malacañang through the eyes of a "reliable source" during people power in 1986.

Joel was among those who were not at all happy with Darryl's “Maid in Malacañang.”

He described it as “Puro kahunyanguhan, puro katarantaduhan…dapat hindi ito palagpasin.”

Despite this, he was open to watching it.
