Simultaneous anti-criminality campaign in Pangasinan leads to arrest of 51 wanted persons


PANGASINAN -- The Pangasinan police’s simultaneous anti-criminality law enforcement operations (SACLEO) resulted in the arrest of 51 wanted persons, and seizure of 22 loose firearms and 32 firearms on Monday, August 15.

The operations netted fewer drug-related cases, with the police seizing only 0.69 grams of shabu and four grams of marijuana.

The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office said that at least eight search warrants were implemented and three buy-bust operations conducted.

The Pangasinan police also implemented 36 warrants of arrest/service of warrant, conducted 47 ‘Oplan Katok’ and two anti-gambling operations.

In addition, three drug personalities and three former Communist Terrorist Group (Militia ng Bayan) surrendered to the Pangasinan police.

The three former Militia ng Bayan members surrendered at 2:50 p.m. in Brgy. Diaz, Umingan. They also surrendered their firearms.

They were identifed as Eulalia Antonio, alias ‘Ka Allen,’ 45, a resident of Sitio Tebag Brgy. Talogtog, Guimba, Nueva Ecija; Jose Marie Echalas alias ‘Ka Nimpa,’ 55, of Sitio Tebag, Brgy Diaz, Umingan, and Prudencio Bucasas Sr. alias ‘Ka Arnold,’ 56, also of Sitio Tebag, Brgy Diaz, Umingan.

The three were former CTG members under Sigmaru Unit Command of Komiteng Larangan Gerilya (KLG) Caraballo.
