BOC Port of NAIA holds summit to improve revenue collection


The Port of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has conducted an assessment summit in a bid to come up with plans and strategies to strengthen revenue collection.

In a statement, the Bureau of Customs said the summit focused on improving the processing of entries and collection of correct duties and taxes.

During the summit, Customs and Trade consultant Alex M. Gaticales emphasized the the importance of accurately monitoring import transactions and studying related legal rulings.

For her part, Port of NAIA District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan expounded on the importance of reviewing the Port's processes and the shift to digitalization.

"The BOC will continue implementing its modernization programs to collect duties and taxes efficiently while maintaining border security," said Tulusan.
