Pangasinan police target drug syndicates after buy-bust nets P2.5-B shabu


LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Police in this province are targeting drug syndicates, high-value drug personalities, and all those who are involved in the illegal drugs trade following the arrest of four persons, including a Chinese, in a buy-bust operation in Pozzorubio Friday, August 12.

“We will ensure the PNP’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs and we will never stop until these perpetrators will be put behind bars. I also encourage the people of Pangasinan to remain vigilant and to report all suspicious acts or person to your nearest police station,” Police Col. Richmond Tadina, Pangasinan police chief, said Saturday, August 13.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Pangasinan, backed by the provincial police, seized 360 kilograms of suspected shabu valued at P2.5 billion from the suspects – Chinese Ke Wujia, alias “James Dagale Galopo,” 49, of San Vicente Sur, Agoo, La Union; Johnbert Yagong, 22, of San Agustin Norte, Agoo; Jenson Rey Yago, 29, of Napaturan, Barangay Codcod, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental; and Ritchell Repuesto, 28, of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

Also seized from them were two android cellular phones, an analog phone, various identification cards, and assorted documents.

Suspects and pieces of evidence are now under the custody of authorities for proper disposition and documentation.

A criminal case for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II, Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the suspects.

The PDEA-Pangasinan said suspects are big-time supplier of illegal drugs in this province and nearby areas.

A rented apartment in a subdivision served as the warehouse of the contraband.
