Rizal police net 11 sellers of illegal drugs


Eleven persons were arrested for reportedly selling shabu in the province of Rizal from Aug. 9 to 11

For selling shabu to a poseur buyer who happens to be an undercover policeman, 11 persons are now behind bars following their arrest during the three-day anti-illegal drugs operations by members of the Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO).

Rizal PPO Director Col. Dominic Baccay said operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit of the PPO arrested two suspects, identified as Joselito King and Nelson Porlaza, both residing in Taytay, following a buy-bust operation on Aug. 11 in Barangay Sta. Ana, Taytay, which also resulted in the confiscation of some 44 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P299,200.

Separate buy-bust operations were also conducted in Angono, San Mateo, Binangonan, and Rodriguez that also resulted in the arrest of nine other suspects on Aug. 9 and 10, with undercover policemen acting as the buyer of illegal drugs.
