The Filipino-led company took action last year through its #GreenLifeGreatLife movement, celebrating now a one-year milestone to mark its continuous commitment to nature. Stepping up its efforts to reduce the amount of plastic produced in households, one of the leading direct selling companies produced more products that are available in biodegradable packaging. Receiving an enormous amount of support from its network of dealers nationwide, the movement ongoingly intends to address the sustainability demand of consumers and simply be part of the solution via reducing packaging waste while empowering direct sellers and customers to take part in protecting the environment.
Better packaging for trusted products
With an awareness on the impact of plastic in our water systems and landfills, the packaging used for some of Personal Collection products is expected to decompose within 5 to 10 years. Standard plastic containers can take 1,000 years to disintegrate. PC’s special plastic packaging does not affect the quality of its products and can also be upcycled in several ways.
One of the latest products to join PC’s #GreenLifeGreatLife biodegradable line is Tuff Naturals. It is the company’s first liquid laundry detergent, which not only comes in biodegradable packaging but also consists of 95% biodegradable ingredients. It offers superior performance in removing the most stubborn stains while protecting color from fading. It has no residue on clothes and machines, no dyes or parabens and is dermatologically tested to be gentle on the hands. The detergent also comes with natural essential oils and RelaxiWaves that relax and enhance well-being.
Other PC products in biodegradable packaging are Tuff TBC, sof & mmmmm Fabric Conditioner, and Tuff MSC. The company’s pioneer product, Tuff TBC (Toilet Bowl Cleanser) is especially formulated to effectively clean and disinfect toilet bowls, bathroom floors, shower areas, and sinks. It contains hospital-grade Killer Virex formula that’s proven to kill 99.999% of disease-causing germs, bacteria, and the Murine Norovirus that causes gastro-intestinal infections. Tuff TBC Classic variant has a clean, fresh scent while the Lemon Fresh variant has a light citrusy scent. Both are available in 500 mL and 1000 mL biodegradable containers.
sof & mmmmm Fabric Conditioner is infused with perfumed micro crystals that remain in the fabric and gradually release fragrance throughout the day, this product has that odor-fighting power that eliminates the undesirable amoy-pawis, amoy-araw, and amoy-kulob. Its FIBERSOFT technology prevents fabrics from stretching, fading, and wrinkling. This concentrated fabric conditioner comes in four delightful fragrance variants: All-time Fresh has a floral powdery musky fragrance that gives a delightfully clean and fresh scent with a soft, powdery finish. It is powered with Germtec Technology to kill 99.99% of bacteria up to 48 hours; All-day Radiance exudes a fruity floral musky scent and comes with Opticlite Plus Technology that protects and restores different fabrics so that whites stay white and bright colors stay bright longer; Eternity comes with a luxurious fruity floral musky fragrance that lasts up to 30 days while stored in a cabinet; and Evermore comes with a captivating premium vanilla fragrance that can last from 24 hours to even two weeks when kept inside the cabinet. All variants come in 1000 mL bio packaging.
Tuff Multi Surface Cleaner, a US-EPA-approved disinfectant, instantly kills 99.999% of disease-causing bacteria and is proven to kill viruses like the SARS-associated human coronavirus on different surfaces such as wood, tiles, ceramics, stainless steel, glass, and more. It removes stubborn dirt and grime and is infused with clove bud and peppermint oils that help repel insects and leave a spa-like aromatic scent.
More Personal Collection products with environment-friendly biodegradable packaging will soon be available in the market. Besides eco-friendly packaging, the products themselves promote a sense of sustainability as using small amounts of concentrated liquids goes a long way for the household.
