MB Daily News Update: PBBM to personally look into botched sugar importation


President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. wants to know who tried to pull a fast one among agricultural officials linked to the botched order to import 300,000 metric tons of sugar.

And with that probe on the alleged illegal sugar importation, Marcos also said he was seeking to strike better coordination among agencies on the matter of food production and distribution.

Taal Volcano is acting up anew as a 2.8-kilometer, steam-rich plume was observed emanating from its main crater on Friday morning.
