After returning from a year-long hiatus and making a successful music comeback, PPop artist and Showbiz Royalty, Jace Roque is keeping the ball rolling with his third single, ‘Trust’ which is expected to hit stores on Aug. 12 under Ditto Music Philippines.

Ever since 2017, he has been releasing songs that are a reflection of his journey in lifeㅡfrom overcoming his battles to his stories about the ups and downs of love. His single ‘Trust’, is his most personal track yet. “It is a product of pain and suffering and was written hours after I confirmed that I was being cheated on. I talk about how trust can easily be broken by lies and deception yet I'm also tackling second chances; how I'm willing to make things work while mending my broken heart,” Jace says.

Jace also adds, “The production is heavily influenced by 80s synth blended with my signature Pop-EDM sound. The writing style is in the form of a conversation, a summary of what has been said during the confrontation.”

With his recent comeback singles ‘Di Para Sa’yo’ and ‘Be Someone’ surpassing his expectations in terms of virality and commercial success, Jace is excited about his upcoming mini album ‘Inferno’, which is scheduled to be released in December this year. “My plan has always been to release each track as a single, and ‘Trust’, is the third track to receive single treatment. I am looking forward to making more music that people can relate to.”

“Working with Ditto Music Philippines was one of the best decisions I’ve made this year and I'm glad that I ended up signing with them. Back in 2020, a few weeks before the pandemic started, they offered me a record deal but I was still signed to AWAL, an international record label now owned by Sony Music Entertainment. In March 2022, we revisited the deal and I finally signed with them.”, Jace says.

Jace is grateful for his new label and in this partnership, he gets to keep 100 percent of his music rights. “I’m in control of my music and I'm given the freedom to decide and do whatever I want. They are very artist centric and that’s what I love about them.”

It’s only the middle of the year, but Jace has many more plans up his sleeve and is expected to release a full-length album by mid of 2023 under Ditto Music Philippines.

With many aspiring artists entering the music scene, he advises them to work harder each day all while enjoying their chosen career. “Dreaming about entering showbiz and actually pursuing a career whether in acting or music are completely different things. It is grueling, challenging and not for the faint-hearted. It takes a lot of training, patience, hardwork and perseverance to thrive and survive. It will all pay off if you stay authentic and never lose track of who you are as an artist and as a person.”
