Hundreds of Pinoys learn new trading techniques

Over 300 Filipino online traders attended the free workshops hosted by ATFX, a global leader in online trading, in partnership with SmarTrade, its education partner in the Philippines. On a roadshow at Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and NCR, ATFX Chief Analyst Alejandro Zambrano shared with longtime and new Pinoy traders various effective strategies on forex trading and insider tips on using one of the best trading tools in the market.

Among those who attended the Davao leg is 19 year old Joseph Lejarde known as the whiz kid trader, the youngest Davaoeño trader who started his trading journey with SmarTrade at age 16. “In this tool, Mr. Zambrano taught us that it is better to wait for class-A trading setups. The session was beneficial to me because we use the same type of analysis, such as fundamental analysis. I'm glad I met an institution trader like Mr. Zambrano because it gave me more confidence in analyzing the market the institutional way, and I learned a lot about macroeconomics,” he said.

The ATFX Support & Resistance Indicator, as discussed by Zambrano, is a trading tool that shows how the trading system is implemented in the live markets, taking out second-guessing when it comes to reading the needs or crafting your trading strategies. Some benefits of learning about this tool are knowing when and how to buy or short-sell, where to place take-profit orders, and how much to risk when you trade forex and other instruments, especially when dealing with main currency pairs, bitcoin, and gold, and so much more.

Aside from deep diving into this topic, Zambrano also talked about current events and how our macroeconomics can affect our online trading plans. He also touched on subjects like risk management in forex trading, macroeconomics, and top trading ideas for August.

“The world of trading is very dynamic, and it is crucial for a trader to always keep himself abreast of the happenings in the market,” Zambrano said. “A good trader can craft trading strategies, but it takes a better strategist to know of trading tools that can best implement the strategies he has in mind. This is where attending workshops such as this is beneficial - it opens you up to explore the best trading tools in the market.”

Zambrano’s extensive trading experience includes serving as Head Analyst and Chief Market Strategist before becoming ATFX Global Chief Analyst. He publishes analyses for currency markets, world indices, and commodities frequently quoted in the international press.

The roadshow kicked off in Baguio at Newtown Plaza Event Center, followed by a trading workshop at Seda Hotel Ayala Center in Cebu to accommodate traders from the Visayas. Next stop was Dusit D2 Hotel in Davao. The workshop culminated at Dusit Thani Makati.

“We will never tire of bringing these 1-on-1 coaching and free workshops to the Pinoys because educating more Filipinos on financial literacy is the heart and soul of SmarTrade. This is our way of helping our kababayans build better lives for themselves and their families,” Joyce Mayo, President & CEO of SmarTrade, beamed. “We would like to thank everyone who continues to support our company, from our clients to our partners abroad who bring their expertise locally.”
