Attention BTS ARMY! The Philippine Red Cross (PRC), together with BTS member Jeon Jungkook's fan group BFM Kookiebunnies, will conduct a blood donation drive on Aug.13 as an early celebration of the member's upcoming 25th birthday on Sept. 1.
The blood donation activity will be held at the PRC Headquarters in Mandaluyong City from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Raffle prizes, loot bags, and snacks await the donors as per the PRC's announcement.
According to PRC, interested participants need to meet the following requirements: must be generally healthy, between ages 16 to 65 years, weigh at least 110 lbs or 50 kg, and pass the physical and history screening to be conducted by PRC staff.
The humanitarian organization also reminded that donors must have at least five to six hours of rest and sleep, have not taken alcohol for 24 hours, and have already eaten except fatty food prior to blood donation.
Travel, medications, piercings, and tattoos will also be assessed on-site.
The PRC assured that blood donation is generally safe and will be done by trained health care professionals with stand-by physicians on the ground.
"The number one benefit of donating blood is knowing that your blood will be instrumental in saving someone's life," PRC added.
