RR Enriquez to Jaime Fabregas: 'Loving your country is not enough'

There is ongoing debate relating to the reimposition of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) as a mandatory collegiate program.

Some are against it. Like actor Jaime Fabregas.

He was quoted as saying: "Teach the children to love their country and you won't need to send them to ROTC! They will defend her with everything they have!"

Did he really issue such statement?

RR Enriquez, self-declared Queen Of Sawsaweras, doesn't care.

She was ready with a rejoinder.

Taking to Facebook, the former actress told Jaime, "Excuse me Sir! I agree with you by teaching children to love your country. But loving your country is not enough… If you don’t know how to fight how can you defend your country?"

She went on to add, "In the bible ang mga bata at the age of 12 (if I’m not mistaken tinuturuan na sila) And I believe even until now mandatory yan sa Israel..If magkaroon ng gyera your love won’t defend you…"

"And hindi porket walang gulo or walang gyera sa ngayon. Magpapaka complacent na tayo," she added.

"Gayahin natin ang langgam mentality.. Nag iimbak na sila ng pagkain habang wala pang bagyo. Para in times na dumating ang ulan or bagyo, handa sila."

She also took a swipe at Jaime being part of the long-running series "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano."

"Hindi po tayo katulad ni Cardo na hindi mamatay matay.. Ibalhin po natin ang pelikula na madalas ginagawa nyo na hindi kayo mamatay matay…"

She didn't mean to hurt Jaime's feelings.

She made clear, "Love ko pa din po kayo and I respect you because you are a legendary."
