The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) on Sunday, Aug. 7, deployed 50 emergency medical services and welfare personnel in seven locations to provide medical care and welfare services to the participants of the world-renowned triathlon event Ironman 70.3 in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
Four ambulance units, seven first aid stations, and even welfare stations with trained psychological first aid personnel were also dispatched according to PRC.
The medical services are stationed in BE Resort, Mövenpick Hotel, Emerald Bay Resort, Brgy. Hall Zone 5, Dusit Thani (Entrance), Dusit Thani (Park), and Dusit Thani (Parking lot), said PRC.
The event kicked off at 5 a.m. and is expected to be finished by 3 p.m.
