Man allegedly jumps off NAIA departure area, MIAA conducts probe


Authorities are now conducting investigation to determine the circumstances behind the serious injuries suffered by a 26-year old man who reportedly fell at the departure area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.

As of press time, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) is now getting copies of the closed circuit television in the area to determine if Michael Lauriano jumped or was pushed at the departure area on Thursday morning, Aug. 4.

Lauriano, a native of Batangas and works as a food helper, suffered broken ribs and possibly skull fracture, according to medical personnel who responded to the area.

He is now confined at the Pasay City General Hospital.
