Korean actress Han So-hee, who rose to fame through the drama “The World of the Married,” was injured while filming her new drama series.
Han So-hee and Park Seo-joon are currently filming the drama “Gyeongseong Creature” about two youths fighting a creature in 1945.
Han So-hee suffered an injury to her face while filming a scene for the drama on Aug. 3. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
A person who was at the scene told Korean media that during the filming of an action scene, an object hanging from Han So-hee’s rope broke and hit her face.
Han So-hee’s agency, 9ATO Entertainment, issued a statement about the incident.
"It is true that Han So-hee was injured around her eyes while filming 'Gyeongseong Creature'. She was transferred to a nearby hospital to receive emergency treatment. Her injury is not serious to the point of requiring a surgery," the agency said, according to SBS News.
The agency told another Korean media outlet that at the hospital where Han So-hee was taken, the diagnosis was to stitch her injury, proving to be a concern since the injury was to her face.
Han So-hee was transferred to another hospital with the intention of getting treatment without requiring stitches. She is currently resting at home.
Her injury will not have a major impact on the drama filming schedule, the agency added.
Han So-hee’s popularity rose after starring in the 2020 drama “The World of the Married” together with Kim Hee-ae and Park Hae-joon.
"Gyeongseong Creature" will be released in 2023.
