To achieve food security right in their own backyards, a group of single parents in the province of Bulacan received 25 boxes of #PlantSmart Planting Kits from Smart Communications, Inc. on Monday, Aug. 1, at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium, City of Malolos.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro were with the representatives from Smart Communications, Inc. during the handover of the planting kits to the beneficiaries.
Fernando said that the Plant Smart program is one way of supporting the government's plant campaign to succeed in achieving food security.
Each kit consists of vegetable seeds and loam soil to help single parents start their own gardens.
