The Maynilad Water Services Inc. announced that parts of Pasay, Parañaque, and Las Piñas cities will experience a 24-hour water service interruption starting 12:01 of August 1 up to August 2.
Based on the announcement of the Maynilad, it will be conducting emergency leak repair on Roxas Boulevard corner Opena St., in Pasay City due to a damaged pipe caused by Advanced Foundation, a third- party contractor of a pedestrian foot bridge.
Seventy communities in Pasay City will be affected by the 24-hour water service interruption.
The barangays affected are 10,13,26, 28, 30, 31,38,39,40,76.77.78, 145 to 153, 156,159,161,162,163,165,166,167,169, 171 to175, 178,179, 181,183,184,186 to195 and 197 to 200.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano had a meeting with Maynilad representative on July 28 and both parties discussed solutions to the water service interruption being experienced by several communities in the city.
Maynilad will deploy water trucks and give potable water to the barangays that will be affected by the water service interruption.
In Parañaque City, the affected barangays are Baclaran, BF Homes, BF International CAA, Don Galo, La Huerta, Moonwalk, San Dionisio, San Isidro, Santo Nino, Tambo, and Vitales.
In Las Piñas City, the affected barangasy are D. Fajardo, E Aldana, Manuyo Uno, and Manuyo Dos.
Two water trucks were ordered by Mayor Imelda Aguilar to deliver potable water to the barangays affected by the water service interruption.
