MB Daily News Update: Habagat rains threaten earthquake-hit areas


Heavy rains in areas affected by the magnitude-7 earthquake could hamper relief operations even as authorities continued to assess the extent of the damage that hit the country last Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

United States State Secretary Anthony Blinken is set to pay a visit to the country on August 6, 2022, and meet with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Marcos vetoed a measure that would have granted tax exemption on the allowance that election workers receive, as well as the bill that would have created the Transportation Safety Board.

The prices of diesel and kerosene will be slashed, while that of gasoline will have an increase, in a set of varied price adjustments expected next week.
