Cops are unappreciated heroes -- VG Castro

Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro highlighted the heroism and bravery of the Bulacan police during the Bulacan Philippine National Police's (PNP) culminating event of the 27th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month held at Camp General Alejo Santos in the the City of Malolos on Thursday, July 28.

Castro, said all members of the PNP are fronliners, they face risks on a daily basis, make a lot of sacrifices, suffer being away from their families, and offer their lives for the safety of the community.

He lamented that police are considered heroes but not often appreciated.

"Dapat lagi nating kilalalanin ang kadakilaan ng ating mga kapulisan," (We should always recognize the sacrifices being made by our policemen)," Castro said.

The 27th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month carried the theme: "Ugnayang Pulisya at Komunidad tungo sa Mapayapa, Maayos, at Maunlad na Pamayanan."

It gathered the chiefs of police and staff of Bulacan's three cities and 21 municipalities, including the Provincial Police Mobile Company.

Awards and recognition were given to deserving commissioned and non-commissioned police personnel, offices, and units that supported and contributed to various PCR activities in the province of Bulacan.
